Luisa Mosteiro a teacher at Haverstraw Middle School spent part of her summer as a Revolutionary War reenactor. Her reenacting unit, the 5th New York Regiment was featured in an article about reenacting in the September issue of Reader's Digest. The article is entitled "Yankee Doodle Andy ! My weekend in the Revolutionary War". There is a picture of Luisa with the regiment on page 151 of the magazine.

In addition, her family and she are featured in the recently finished movie being shown at the Fort Montgomery State Historic site, just up the road by the Bear Mountain Bridge. The movie tells the story of the Battle of Fort Montgomery and is shown to visitors who come to the site several times a day.
